Vilardell Glycerin Suppositories
Description
Plant-based laxative for the relief of occasional constipation.
Glycerol, the active ingredient in this medicine, is a rectally administered laxative.
The laxative effect is achieved by the ability of glycerol to soften the stool. Together with a mild local irritant action, this stimulates bowel movements.
Indications
Children from 2 to 12 years old.
Composition
Each suppository for children contains 1,500 mg of glycerol and sodium stearate as an excipient.
How to use
The recommended dose is 1 suppository per day as needed or as prescribed by the doctor.
- Administration is performed rectally.
- After removing the suppository from the packaging, it must be inserted deeply into the rectum, flat end first.
- Evacuation must be delayed for as long as possible to allow the suppository to take effect.
- It should not be used for more than 7 consecutive days. If symptoms do not improve, discontinue use and consult a doctor.
