Description
Plant-based laxative for relief of occasional constipation.
The glicerol, the active ingredient in this medicine, is a laxative that is administered rectally.
The laxative effect is achieved by the ability of glycerol to soften the stool. Together with a slight local irritant action, this stimulates bowel movements.
Recommended for
Adults and adolescents from 12 years old.
Composition
Each adult suppository contains 3,000 mg of glycerol and sodium stearate as an excipient.
How to administer
The recommended dose is 1 suppository per day as needed or as prescribed by the doctor.
- Administration is performed rectally.
- After removing the suppository from the packaging, it must be inserted deep into the rectum, flat end first.
- Evacuation must be delayed for as long as possible in order to allow the suppository to exert its action.
- Should not be used for more than 7 days in a row. If symptoms do not improve, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
